    The Commonwealth of Learning (COL) -Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA) in collaboration with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU), Ahmedabad, conducted a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Result-Based Management (RBM), Curriculum Review and Enhancement under the Graduate Employability Project. The programme marks a key step in the second phase of the initiative, focusing on strengthening institutional capacity and embedding outcome-based education practices across Open Universities (OUs) in India.

  2. Empowering Community Radio Through Digital Innovation: COL-CEMCA and Reliance Foundation Conduct Capacity-Building Programme for CRS

    On 10 April 2026, a significant capacity-building programme for Community Radio Stations (CRS) was organised by Commonwealth of Learning-Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (COL-CEMCA) in collaboration with Reliance Foundation, at New Delhi, bringing together sector stakeholders to explore how digital innovation can strengthen the future of community radio in India. The programme served as a strategic platform to discuss practical, scalable, and inclusive technology solutions that can enhance the operations, outreach, and impact of community radio stations.

  3. COL-CEMCA Hosts Working Session to Strengthen India Student Community for AI

    The India Student Community for AI, an initiative under the GPAI Student Project launched during the India AI Impact Summit 2026, convened its Student Working Session titled “Voices of Youth for the Future of AI” on 11 April 2026 in New Delhi.

  4. Open Universities Pledge 12-Month Roadmap to Revolutionise Graduate Employability

    In a decisive move to bridge the gap between academic degrees and workforce readiness, representatives from 15 Open Universities (OUs) across India have committed to a rigorous one-year action plan to embed employability into the heart of distance education. The commitment follows a high-level, two-day workshop concluded on 27 March 2026, organised by the Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (COL-CEMCA). The meet transformed faculty members into “Graduate Employability (GE) Champions,” tasked with leading a systemic shift in how millions of distance learners transition into the professional world.

  5. COL-CEMCA and MRIIRS Conduct FDP on Technology-enabled Learning and Blended Learning

    The Commonwealth of Learning-Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (COL-CEMCA), in collaboration with Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS), conducted a five-day Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Empowering Higher Education Institutions in Technology-enabled and Blended Learning” from 23–27 March 2026. The FDP was organised under the Academic and Administrative Development Centres (AADCs) initiative of the Association of Indian Universities.
