  3. Report on Colloquium on Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education Institutions, 4 June 2025

    The Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (COL-CEMCA), in collaboration with the Embassy of Israel, convened a colloquium on Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education Institutions on 4 June 2025 at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi. The event brought together vice chancellors (VCs) and faculty members of state and national open universities, AI experts, and practitioners to deliberate on the potential, challenges, and ethical dimensions of AI in the education sector.

  4. Blended TVET in Bangladesh: Pathways to a Digital Skills Future, May 2025

    This Stakeholder Mapping Report has been developed to support the Commonwealth Educational Media
    Centre for Asia (CEMCA) in advancing blended Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in
    Bangladesh. The report aims to identify key stakeholders, assess their roles, levels of influence, and
    engagement, and propose strategies to foster coordinated efforts toward developing a policy roadmap
    for blended TVET and micro-credentialing in the country.

  5. Capacity Building Training Programme on Developing Future-Ready Vocational Educators May 2025

    The training programme aimed to equip vocational educators with 21st-century skills, empowering them to lead change in classrooms and beyond. The programme sought to foster innovative teaching practices, enhance employability outcomes, and support educators’ professional growth, aligning with NEP 2020. Expected outcomes included educators demonstrating digital proficiency, applying industry-aligned methodologies, improving student engagement, and fostering lifelong learning, ultimately transforming vocational education in India.

  6. Empowering Caregiving Leaders: A 7-Day Digital Upskilling Journey for Master Trainers, April 2025

    A key strategy of the project is the Training of Master Trainers (TOMT), which serves as a scalable model for institutionalising the delivery of soft skills across caregiver training programs. By equipping 20 carefully selected master trainers with specialised content, teaching methodologies, and multimedia resources, the project establishes a multiplier effect, enabling these trainers to influence and upskill hundreds of caregiver instructors and trainees across the country.

  9. Graduate Employability and Emerging Skills in India, February 2025

  10. National Consultative Meeting TiLAI, 25th November 2024

    COL-CEMCA hosted a National Consultation in New Delhi, in collaboration with CBSE and NCERT, under the Teacher-in-theLoop AI (TiL-AI) project on 25 November 2024. The event focused on how AI could address the challenges, and enhance Grade 9 mathematics teaching and learning.

  12. Report on Open University OERfest - April 2024

    The Open University Open Educational Resources Festival 2024 (OU OERfest 2024), a three-day event organised by Dr B.R.Ambedkar Open University (Dr BRAOU), Hyderabad, Telangana, in collaboration with the Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA), New Delhi, provided a comprehensive platform for stakeholders from various OUs to reflect on and evaluate their current OER initiatives. This event facilitated a holistic discussion on the status and implementation of institutional OER policies, offering guidance to universities that have yet to develop such frameworks.
