New Delhi, December 8th, 2016: CEMCA conducted a 3-day intensive training workshop for vocational trainers at GSSS GOKALGARH, REWARI (HARYANA) from DECEMBER 05th to 07th 2017. As part of the workshop the trainers conducted various activities focusing on imparting Generic Employability skills to the school children of the Govt. Senior Secondary School in GOKALGARH, REWARI (HARYANA) More than 120 students benefitted out of the workshop conducted and the trainers were trained in the technique that have been developed by Worktree, an education charity based in Milton Keynes, UK, since 1992.
The ABLE-CEMCA model aims at getting the vocational trainers to integrate Activity Based Learning in their regular teaching-learning style and at Building Capacity of vocational trainers who impart training to school children in the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade of government schools, in collaboration with Indian Institute of Skill Development (IISD) in Gurgaon. This workshop served as a tool for mainstreaming Vocational Training in regular school education and brought about a sense of unity and pride amongst the students, trainers and teachers of the Govt. School.
