Workshop on Algodynamics: Teaching and Learning Algorithms through Interactive Virtual Experiments

An online workshop on Algodynamics: Teaching and Learning Algorithms through Interactive Virtual Experiments was organised by CEMCA in collaboration with the School of Computer Science & IT and the Online Program Cell, Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani from 24 to 25 August 2021. Sixty-five faculty members, primarily from Computer Science and Information Technology participated in this workshop to raise awareness on how interactive virtual experiments can support teaching and learning of algorithms. During the live workshop sessions, Professor Venkatesh Choppella, the expert for the workshop, discussed the motivation and conceptual foundations of the Algodynamics approach. Examples and interactive experiments were demonstrated. Participants engaged in workshop activities in the asynchronous mode through a blended learning platform. Professor O.P. S. Negi, Vice-Chancellor, UOU spoke of how such initiatives promote digitally enabled quality education.
