Uttarakhand Open University (UOU) offered CEMCA supported two week MOOC on Development of Online Course for SWAYAM from 21 June 2021 to 05 July 2021.

Uttarakhand Open University (UOU) offered CEMCA supported two week MOOC on Development of Online Course for SWAYAM from 21 June 2021 to 05 July 2021. Prof. Om Prakash Singh Negi, Vice Chancellor, UOU; Prof. Durgesh Pant Director School of CS & IT, UOU along with Director CEMCA addressed the launch ceremony. Dr. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi from CEMCA and Dr. Jeetendra Pande from UOU coordinated and facilitated the MOOC.

This MOOC was offered through Moodle Based elearning platform of UOU. Most of the participants attended this MOOC through the course website. An APP was also configured for this course and more than 25% of the participants attended this course through Mobile APP. UOU announced the course details in the University Website, Social Media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. and invited the participants for registration through google form.

After removing the duplicate entries, total 1476 faculty members (1052 male and 624 female) of higher education institutions from 25 states and Union Territories of India registered in this two week MOOC programme. There are five participants from Sri Lanka, Ghana, Thailand, and Bangladesh. Two live discussion forums was also conducted through ZOOM on 26 June 2021 and 03 July 2021 where more than 200 participants actively participated and their queries were resolved by the instructors and mentors. A second cycle of the MOOC will be offered in September 2021.
