Two-day meeting on content creation for the Project – 'SOFT SKILL TRAINING TO STRENGTHEN POLICE PERFORMANCE'


27 – 28 February 2020, Trichy Ithin the mandate of its 6 – year Strategic Plan (2015-2021), CEMCA is providing soft skill training to the police personnel to strengthen their performance in the region. In this regard, CEMCA organized a two-day meeting on content creation for the Project – ‘SOFT SKILL TRAINING TO STRENGTHEN POLICE PERFORMANCE’ on 27 – 28 February 2020 in Trichy.

Ms. Shirley P Deepak, PO – Skills, CEMCA introduced the experts to the panel and briefed about CEMCA and gave an overview on objectives of the meeting.

The agenda of the meeting was to introduce the content writers to the project and give guidelines to carry out the training in collaboration with CEMCA. The requirements and expectations from the training programme were briefed on by Mr. T.R.V. Balakrishnan IPS, DIG of Police, Tiruchirappalli Range and Mr. Ziaul Haque IPS, Superintendent of Police, Trichy.

Dr. P. Chitra, Director, I/C School of Journalism and New studies, TNOU, Chennai explained in detail, the concept, features and principles of writing self-learning materials. She also discussed the following:

Based on the training need analysis and the discussion, brainstorming sessions the experts finalised the five modules that would be presented to the participants during the 18 hours program phased for 6 hours each on consecutive Saturdays.

Prof. Balakrishnan and Ms. Shirley Deepak moderated the sessions on preparing the module format and content outline and steered the team towards the finalization of the framework of the training program.
     
The syllabus, format of the course material and the pre-test and post-test tools were also designed in the span of the two-day meeting.
