Organised One day Workshop on "Documentary and Film-making"


Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA) organised One day Workshop on "Documentary and Film-making " for students from various institutions and universities from India on April 12th, 2022 in New Delhi .

During the inaugural Session, Dr. Madhu Parhar (Director, CEMCA) gave the opening remarks and said that it is a good opportunity for the students to learn new techniques to develop a good documentary or short film. The students have shown their ability to express themselves creatively and produced the short films for CRVC 2022 but one should always learn new and advanced technology . Monica Sharma facilitated the workshop.

Prof. O P Dewal, from School of Journalism and New Media Studies, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)New Delhi and Mr. Naveen Gautam Assistant Professor, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi were the experts for the workshop.

26 students from different parts of India attended this training. It was very helpful for the students. During the training they got an opportunity to understand as well as gain the ideas of creating various elements of film and documentary production ranging from conceptualizing to scripting, producing, shooting and editing fiction.

The students shot a short film and edited it during the training which was shown in the CRVC Award function.

The students were encouraged to ask their doubts and it were cleared by the experts. The participants were very happy and described that the training was unique and an exciting experience for all of them.
