Online Workshop on Virtual Labs for Faculty of Chittagong University, Bangladesh


An online workshop on Virtual Labs was organised by CEMCA in collaboration with the University of Chittagong in Bangladesh. Professor Benu Kumar Dey, Pro-Vice Chancellor, University of Chittagong welcomed this initiative. During the three-day workshop held from 23 to 25 August 2021, an overview of virtual labs was provided and virtual lab experiments from Physics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, and Environmental Sciences were demonstrated. Ninety-nine faculty members from the faculty of Sciences, Biological Sciences, Marine Sciences, and other Applied Sciences of the University of Chittagong explored virtual lab experiments and participated in hands-on activities designed to enhance awareness on how to access, use, and integrate virtual labs in teaching and learning. According to Professor Mohammad Abul Hossain, Director of IQAC, this pivotal workshop is expected to lead to more such collaborative endeavours in future.
