Online Workshop on "Faculty Development Programme on Online Teaching and Assessment using Moodle" for the faculty of UOU

CEMCA in collaboration with Uttarakhand Open University (UOU), Haldwani - India, organised a five-day Online Workshop on “Faculty Development Programme on Online Teaching and Assessment using Moodle” for the faculty of UOU from 26-30 June, 2020.

During the Inaugural session Dr. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi welcomed all the participants and dignitaries. Prof Madhu Parhar, Director, CEMCA, Prof Durgesh Pant, Convener of the workshop, Prof OPS Negi, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, UOU addressed the participants.

Honourable Minister of Higher Education , Govt of Uttarakhand, Shri Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat graced the inaugural session. In his address he emphasized the training for all the college teachers working in Uttarakhand. He wished success for this programme and asked to give recommendations to implement them for further use.

62 teaching and academic staff of UOU were participated. The workshop was facilitated by Dr Ashutosh Taunk and Dr. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi were the resource person to conduct the workshop. The workshop, oriented and demonstrated the participants on Open Educational Resources (OERs), Open Licensing, design and development of e-contents for SWAYAM and Moodle platforms, also online assessments and facilitation.

During the concluding session ,Prof. Durgesh Pant, Convener of the workshop briefed the outcome of the workshop and Dr. Jeetendra Pande from UOU presented the overview of the workshop. Prof Madhu Parhar briefly explained the Guidelines of MHRD for SWAYAM and Developing Proposal for SWAYAM

Prof. O P S Negi , Vice-Chancellor, UOU addressed the participants and expressed his gratitude towards Mr. Ashutosh Taunk who was the expert of the workshop and Dr. Manas Ranjan and Dr. Madhu Parhar and Dr. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi from CEMCA to organize a very informative and useful workshop.

Prof Madhu Parhar encouraged all participants to develop few courses and offer through UOU Moodle/SWAYAM platform for the learners which is very essential during current scenario in the field of education.
