Online Capacity Building Workshop on Development of Outcome Based Self Learning Materials at Bangladesh Open University

CEMCA conducted a four days Online Workshop on Development of Outcome Based Self Learning Materials for Teachers and ODL Facilitators of Bangladesh Open University (BOU), Bangldesh from 12-15 October 2020. The workshop initiated by Dr. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi and he shared its prospects for better learning. Further Prof. Mostafa Azad Kamal from BOU shared the objectives of the workshop and modalities. Prof. Madhu Parhar, Director, CEMCA addressed  the participants towards the programme and motivated them for designing and development of outcome based Self Learning Materials to deliver an Online and Blended Learning setup. Prof. Santosh Panda from IGNOU-India and Prof. Marmar Mukhapadhyay from ETMA-India facilitated the workshop as Resource Persons. The workshop covered the contents viz concept of  Self-Learning Materials, characteristics of Self-Learning Materials, Writing of learning objectives and learning outcomes, features of the Self-Activities in Self-Learning Materials, Integration of the multimedia materials to Self-Learning Materials, principles of designing Self-Learning Materials, Processes involved in the development of a Self-Learning Unit, etc. 80 Faculty members from different School of Studies of Bangladesh Open University, Bangladesh participated in the workshop.
