International Online Conference on the Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA)

Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA), New Delhi in collaboration with Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University, Guwahati, Assam is organising an International Online Conference on the theme "Teaching-Learning in the Time of Pandemic: Role of Online Learning" from 21-22 April 2020. On April 22, 2020, Professor V. Balaji, Vice- President , Commonwealth of Learning delivered the Key-note on "Responding to Covid-19: ODL in Technology Perspective".

Dr. Tian Belawati, Former Rector , Universitas Terbuka, Indonesia delivered lecture on action taken by the Govt. of Indonesia in connection with issues raised in the field of education due to COVID 19 in Indonesia.

A Panel Discussion was organised on the second day of conference. The Speakers were Dr. Sanjaya Mishra, Education Specialist eLearning, COL, Canada, Prof. Samauel A Ariadurai, Vice- Chancellor, Open University of Sri Lanka, Prof. Kam Cheong Li, Director, Research, Open University of Hong Kong, Prof. M A Mannan, Vice-Chancellor, Bangladesh Open University, Bangladesh, Prof. Tsuneo Yamada, Open University, Japan, Dr. Andy Liew, HELP University, Malaysia. The speakers discussed in detail about the actions taken in their own countries to cope up with the issues and challenges arise in the field of education due to COVID 19 pandemic.

The first session was moderated by Prof. Kandarpa Das, VC, KKHSOU and Panel Discussion was moderated Prof. Madhu Parhar, Director, CEMCA. More than 170 participants participated in the conference and interacted with the speakers.
