Community Radio Awareness Consultation – January 10-12, 2013 Agra, Uttar Pradesh

New Delhi, 07/01/2013: The second Community Radio Awareness Consultation for this year,  that CEMCA is holding as  part of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s  (MIB)  efforts to increase the number of Community Radio Stations(CRS)  in India,  is scheduled to be held from January 09-11 at  Hotel Royal  Residency , Agra.  As with previous consultations, the three day event will provide an opportunity to about 40 new and potential applicants of community radio from the region to meet and interact with officials of MIB and other concerned Ministries to learn in detail about the licensing procedures and policy guidelines, and hear first-hand accounts from operational CRS. The first was held at Orchha , Madhya from December 26-28, 2012 and the third one is scheduled at  Dharamshala (March 2013).
