Community Radio Awareness Consultation – March 16-18, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh

New Delhi/14/03/2013: The third and final   Community Radio Awareness Consultation for this year  that CEMCA is organizing on behalf of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), Govt of India, shall be held from  March 16-18 , 2013at the   Asian Health Resorts, Strawberry Hills, Near Dal Lake, Dharamshala Cantt,  Himachal Pradesh. This is part of a series of workshops organized to increase the number of Community Radio Stations (CRS) in India.  As with previous consultations, the three day event will provide an opportunity to about 50 new and potential applicants of community radio from the region to meet and interact with officials of MIB and other concerned Ministries to learn in detail about the licensing procedures and policy guidelines, and interact with experiences community radio operators. Professor Yoginder Verma, Pro Vice Chancellor, Central University of Himachal Pradesh has kindly agreed to deliver the inaugural address in the event.
