Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA) organised an online training program on "Documentary and Film-making " for students from various institutions and universities of India on June 8th, 2021.

In the first session , Dr. Madhu Parhar stated that opportunities to take shoots outside have taken away during the pandemic. Despite this setback, many students still managed to continue to shine in an effort to creatively express themselves and produced the short films for CRVC 2021.

Mr Vijay Jodha Writer, filmmaker and a self-taught photographer and Mr. Matiur Rahman, Independent Science Filmmaker and Founder and President of START (Search for Truth and Return to Science) were the expert of the training programme. Monica Sharma facilitated the workshop.

More than 35 students from different parts of India attended this online training. This training was very helpful for the students. During the training they got an opportunity to understand as well as gain the ideas of creating various elements of film and documentary production ranging from conceptualizing to scripting, producing, shooting and editing fiction.

The students were encouraged to ask their doubts and were cleared by the experts. The participants were very happy and expressed that the training was unique and it was exciting experience.
