Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA) in association with Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU Jaipur)


Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA) in association with Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU Jaipur) organized 1st batch of 5 days online workshops on “Effective Online Teaching, Assessment and Communication Skill” for faculties from 11th May to 15th May 2021. This program was attended by 30 participants and 22 were certified based on their attendance, class assignments and group activities evaluation by master trainers.

Inauguration and valedictory function were attended by Mr. Saurabh Mishra (Programme Officer, CEMCA) and Dr. Rajdeep Deb (Principal, School of Entrepreneurship Skills, BSDU Jaipur).

During his welcome speech Mr. Saurabh Mishra, congratulated all faculty members in 1st batch for being selected out of 1132 participants who applied for this online program from worldwide. He gave overview of CEMCA organization and its area of engagement, course design of the CBP and relevance of this workshop in new normal.

Dr. Rajdeep Deb also gave overview of BSDU and further explained the mode of selection of participants for the workshop and various evaluation parameters which will be used during this capacity building program.

Master trainers for 1st workshop batch were:

  1. Dr. Shivaji Banerjee- During his 3 days session, he covered online course designing & pedagogy, online evaluation & assessment tools and active student engagement during online classes. 
  2. Mr. Purandar Sengupta- He took 1 day session on online communication and time management skills. 
  3. Mr. Rajeev Srivastav- He gave hands-on on functionalities and features of google meet and zoom online meeting platform in his 1 day session. He also explained google workspace and how its various features and tools can be used to organize full fledged online class and conduct examination.
