CEMCA Supported Uttarakhand Open University for offering of MOOC on Digital Forensics


CEMCA and Uttarakhand Open University (UOU) offered FIRST CYCLE of the Four-week MOOC on Digital Forensics from 12 July 2021 to 09 August 2021. Prof. Om Prakash Singh Negi, Vice Chancellor, UOU; Prof. Durgesh Pant Director School of CS & IT, UOU along with Director CEMCA addressed the launch ceremony. Prof. Om Prakash Singh Negi, Vice Chancellor extended his gratitude to CEMCA for its innovative interventions and continuous support for UOU. He added that the course offered as MOOC is a paradigm shift from conventional learning to Online learning . He requested all the participants to complete the course on time and practice the acquired knowledge in their teaching and learning process. This MOOC was offered through Moodle Based e-learning platform of UOU. Most of the participants attended this MOOC through the course website. An APP was also configured for this course and more than 30% of the participants attended this course through Mobile APP. In total 3662 participants (2636 Male and 1026 Female) registered for this MOOC. Out of the total number, 90 participants were from 43 countries like UK, Singapore, Germany, France, Malaysia, USA, Italy, UAE, Mauritius, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Thailand, Bangladesh.

Four live sessions for discussion was also conducted every week through ZOOM were the participants actively participated and their queries were resolved by the instructors and mentors. The more cycles of the course will be offered for benefit of larger group of teacher and professionals.
