CEMCA Community Radio Facilitation Centre License Process Workshop at Radio Luit, Gauhati University, 28-30 May 2013

   Fifteen participants engaged with Community Radio at Radio Luit, Gauhati University and Jnan Taranga, K. K. Handique  Open University   participated in  a three day workshop on Community Radio licence procedure facilitation held at Guwahati from 28-30 May 2013. Over three days participants walked through the entire Community Radio policy guidelines, principles and licencing procedures. On the first day participants learnt about online application process, while on the second day technical aspects of applying for frequency, wireless operating licence were discussed. Besides guiding new applicants, participants also learnt about empanelment procedures to receive government sponsorships and advertisements. As both the Community Radio Stations have already some queries from potential applicants, it is hoped that the trained facilitators will be able provide them the required support.
