CEMCA and Dr. BRAOU Launch a MOOC on Stress Management
CEMCA and Dr B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Hyderabad developed a MOOC on “STRESS MANAGEMENT”. The MOOC was launched by the Chief Guest of the programme Sri. B. Vinod Kumar, Vice-Chairman, Planning Board, Government of Telangana on 25th November 2021. He spoke about the importance of the Stress Management in the context of COVID 19. He emphasised that this course will enhance the capacity of the individuals to deal with the various situations encountered in the life. He added that not only the students of Open University take this course, but he recommends the course for all the teachers and students of higher education institutions. Chief Guest released the MOOC Brochure and Promotional video on the MOOC. The Website designed for Centre for Online Learning and the eLearning Portal of BRAOU were formally released.
Prof. K. Seetharama Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. BRAOU in his opening remarks said that “Dr. BRAOU has been successfully harnessing the technological advances to reach various sections of the learners and achieved a milestone by launching the MOOC on Stress Management’. Dr. G. Saroja, Course Coordinator gave a detailed report on the design and development of the MOOC. Prof. Madhu Parhar, in her address appraised the significance of MOOCs and online learning. She highlighted the role of Vice Chancellor BRAOU for motivating and inspiring the teachers to develop the skills of online learning. Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences acknowledged the efforts of the social science faculty and also gave an account of the various initiatives underway in collaboration with CEMCA.
The Inaugural programme was conducted in hybrid mode where the chief guest, Vice Chancellor and local delegates attended the function physically. Nearly 40 ODL practitioners, teachers, counsellors and outside dignitaries participated online on Zoom Platform. The proceedings of the inauguration were streamed live on YouTube. Dr. G. Saroja from BRAOU and Dr. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi facilitated in design and development of the course. The MOOC will be offered through Dr BRAOU eLearning Platform: https://elearning.braou.ac.in
