CAREER CONCLAVE - 2019


CEMCA participated in the five-day Career Conclave organised by the Directorate of Education, GNCTE from 21 st Oct to 25 th Oct 2019 at Thyagaraj Sports Complex, INA, New Delhi. It is the third edition of the Conclave and CEMCA has been part of both the earlier editions.

About 75 different organisations including Sector Skill Councils (SSCs), private institutes, ICWA, ICAI as well as different universities participated in the Conclave. More than 35,000 students from 560 schools of Delhi NCT Government attended the Conclave. The students visited the stalls and enquired about different courses/careers available to them.

CEMCA helped the students to understand the different types of Vocational/Skill based job opportunities by engaging with them in Activity Based Career Guidance & Career Counselling sessions. The counsellors used the Career Guidance & Career Counselling Kit comprising of activity-based cards to help the students understand different job profiles. Various games, activities and interactive sessions were also conducted by the career counsellors. More than 6000 students visited the stall set up by CEMCA during the five-day Career Conclave. The students expressed the need for more such endeavours like the Career Conclave as it provided them with a lot of information related to career opportunities.

The Kit, the interactive sessions and activities were highly appreciated by Educational and Vocational Guidance Counsellors (EVGCs), teachers and students who had visited CEMCA’s stall. A majority of them have requested for a workshop in their schools and also placed request for the kits. They expressed the need for such a workshop and kit being made available to them in order to help develop personality/skills of students so that they can get better employment opportunities once they acquire the skills. More than 110 school representatives or EVGCs have put in their details in the visitors’ book and requested CEMCA to conduct the Activity-Based Counselling sessions in their schools.
