Blockchain MOOC for job aspirants

“Digital employment is creating a boom in the IT industry and Blockchain is one of the fastest- growing skill sets with jobs in this domain growing at a whopping rate of 2,000-6,000%” according to digital India report. Professionals and freshers across globe are opting to upskill themselves with Blockchain technology to acquire better job and high salary.

Understanding the huge demand of Blockchain among youth, CEMCA in association with Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Academy (APITA), Govt of Andhra Pradesh and with technical support from the Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur launched 2 nd cycle of “Blockchain Introduction for Developers” course. This massive open online course (MOOC) was offered from 3 rd Jan 2022 till 6 th February 2022. This certification course consisted of 12 hours of pre-recorded video modules, e-handbook as learning material and quizzes along 10 live sessions of 2 hours each spread over 5 weeks.

5949 participants (Male-3165, Female-2739, Not specified-44) registered for this course from 44 countries across globe. Out of which, 321 participants were able to complete all modules, clear the tests and assessment to receive the course completion certificate.

In month of June-July 2021, 1 st cycle of this course was launched in which 2709 participants from 23 countries were registered and 428 had successfully completed the course.
