9th Community Radio Video Challenge competition . Theme "Climate Action: Climate change for Sustainable Development"


In a bid to highlight the importance of community radio services, a Commonwealth body has announced a special video competition among youth.

A joint initiative of Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA) , UNESCO and Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, the competition is open to students in universities, colleges and institutions pursuing a degree in Media, Communication and/or Journalism. The video can be from three to five minutes and the last date of online submission is January 25, 2022.

This year's topic is The theme for CRVC 2022 will be Sustainable Development Goal No. -13 “Climate Action: Climate change for Sustainable Development”, which is further divided into sub-themes. Climate change is causing disaster,Risks and impact of climate change,How to control climate change,Climate change adaptation measures that we can do everyday, Climate Action: Why it matters?.

The best videos will be awarded at an event to be held here in February 2022.

Entries can be in any language but must have English subtitles. There are eight cash prizes, with a top prize of Rs 50,000.
